This week’s installment of the free Nu Music Nite at the good ol’ Horseshoe Tavern saw Hey Rosetta! in town celebrating the release of Into Your Lungs, their powerful brand new full-length.
Firing on all cylinders from the get-go, the Newfoundland band opened things up with their latest single, “There’s an Arc.” Beginning soft and then crescendoing into an explosion of indie rock glory, this tune set the stage for the rest of the set, as things just got more epic from there.
Exemplifying solid stage-presence, high energy and an all around exuberance, Hey Rosetta! were in excellent form. Basically, I was impressed when I saw these guys in March as part of CMW (see here for as assessment and interview with lead-singer, Tim Baker) and they’ve managed to solidify that position this time around with another stirring performance.
Unfortunately, my girlfriend ran off with our camera for the week, so I don’t have any pics from the show, but here’s video of the opening track courtesy of Zunior.com’s new video site, the aptly named Zunior.tv:
