Dog Is Blue ...Makes Ghost Noises

Wow. It’s been over three months since my last post. I swear I only planned on taking a couple weeks off in the new year, but time flies and all that.  The good news is that I’ve been productive in my absence, as I finally got off my butt and recorded an album of my very own!

It’s under the name Dog Is Blue and is called …Makes Ghost Noises. I wasn’t going to post about it, as it seemed cheesy to write about my own album, but I saw Jen and Colin at The Burning Hell show at the Horseshoe tonight and they seemed to think I should.

How about this? As a compromise I’ll just tell you that making this album is why I haven’t been posting (see, directly blog related, no self-promotion) and You can get more details about it from this blog instead. Suffice to say that this is the reason WHK has been languishing in 2009 (and will continue to do so as I’m about to leave for most of April on a tour with Jenny Omnichord).

Here are some more links for those of you that are curious:

And here’s a track from the album for your listening pleasure (hopefully):

All the best!

Cool - never knew that was you! Have been listening to that album for a week now. Quite like it. Shall plug it next week sometime - would have anyway!

Well if you hadn’t posted about it, there’d be no way to know you were gone. Duh. :D

I ran across your site whilst searching google for music appropriate for “waking up on the beach” (shoot me, it’s summer here)… and I liiiiiiiiiiiiiike. I’ve just heard the one track (Grandma), and I’m hooked!

Where can I get a copy of the album, though? I’m halfway across the globe in the Philippines, so, um… yeah. It might be difficult, if not impossible, to get my hands on a copy over here.

Congratulations on the album, by the way… more so for getting your music out there - as a struggling artist myself (I play guitar for a band named Terrorist Teddybear, as well as write most of the songs and some of the music), I know how hard it is just to get the music out there to people.

If there’s any way I can get my hands on a copy, please let me know - even if it involves sending a check and self-addressed stamped envelope (LOL). This is something I think I’d be willing to dish out some cash for.

Hoping to hear from you soon,
    M.

Hey, I’m glad you posted something new.
I’m just putting a playlist together to play on Saskatoon’s community radio station and I hope you don’t mind if I play this. Too bad you’re not going to start up the blog again but I hope to see you if you ever come through town.
